December 29, 2002 - I am sure that all of you are enjoying the holidays. This will be my last addition for 2002. Happy & safe New Year to you all!

I've added information and/or pictures to:

Desert Inn - 1953, 1965
Dunes - 1965
Flamingo - 1965
Hacienda - 1965
Riviera - 1965
Sahara - 1965, 1973
Sands - 1965
Stardust - 1965
Thunderbird - 1965
Tropicana - 1965

December 22, 2002 - Freddie Bell was in the hospital and our own Nelson Sardelli has the following information:

"WITH FRIENDS LIKE THESE WHO NEEDS ENEMIES?

I brought a soccer ball to all time great performer Freddie Bell, who is now convalescing at the Sunrise Hospital after major surgery. This cruel but funny act of love is enjoyed by youthful 88 year old Frankie "Dee" DeMatto and another fellow entertainer, Carme Pitrello. The smiles on their faces makes one wonder .....After all, Bell had just had a knee replacement. All visiting entertainers are now asked to sign Freddie's ball. It will be raffled at the next function of TheCastInc. Legendary Buddy Greco, Bob Anderson, Bill Acosta as well as an array of talented performers and other Las Vegas celebrities are some of the names you will find on the already coveted soccer ball." - Nelson Sardelli

I will let you all know when the next event and raffle for the soccer ball.

I'm still in the '60s working on 1961, and have added information and pictures to Desert Inn, Dunes, Flamingo, Frontier, Sahara, Sands, Stardust, Thunderbird, and Tropicana

I've also added entertainer ads for Christmas of 1965 to my Miscellaneous page as well as to the resorts mentioned above.

I want to take this opportunity to wish each and every one of you a safe and very Merry Christmas!!!

December 14, 2002 - Just to let you know, Nelson Sardelli's Sinatra's Birthday Party was a success. He gave me the following information and picture to thank everyone who attended and gave support:

"Dearest members and friends:

Thank you ! Thank you ! Thank you !.

And if I haven't made myself quite clear enough, let me reiterate:

What I meant to say was:

Thank you ! Thank you ! Thank you !.

We did it!

Together we made it happen. I applaud you.

Slowly but surely, The Cast Inc. is becoming the great organization that it is destined to be. You are an integral part of The Cast Inc. You are important to its livelihood and to its success. If I haven't mentioned before let me say it here:

Thank you ! Thank you ! Thank you !.

I love you.... one and all. You make me proud I am a member of this community, and to think the whole thing was prepared in less than a week..... and that at the beginning we were reluctant to guarantee a 35 people turn out...... hehehehehe...we had to turn them away after we reached 124......... the Fellini's owners, staff and, of course Chef Chaz did a splendid job...." - Nelson Sardelli

Lynn Zook was kind enough to lend me a Fabulous Las Vegas Magazine dated November 30, 1963 that was lent to her by Norman Kaye of the Mary Kaye Trio. Since I told her I would get this into the site immediately, I gathered all my other information from 1963 and added everything including the magazine along with a few other dates as follows:

Castaways - 1963
Desert Inn - 1961, 1963
Dunes - 1961, 1963
Flamingo - 1961, 1963
New Frontier - 1961
Landmark - 1961
Riviera - 1961, 1963
Sahara - 1961, 1963
Sands - 1961, 1963
Silver Slipper - 1961, 1963
Stardust - 1961, 1963
Thunderbird - 1961, 1963
Tropicana - 1961, 1963

Many thanks to Lynn and of course to Norman Kaye for helping me out!. I've also added a picture and information to the Las Vegas Race Track from 1953.

December 8, 2002 - I got some holiday graphics for this site thanks to my good buddy Kim Spucces over at Sea World in San Diego. I was looking for a graphic or two that isn't like anything on other sites and Kim sent what you see above and on my main page. If you have a moment, click on the graphic to visit Sea World's site. Many thanks to Kim for giving me these.

Nelson Sardelli has informed me of the Frank Sinatra Birthday Party taking place in Vegas per the notice on the top of this page as well as the main page. It sounds like it will be a blast.

I've added information and/or pictures from 1956 to El Rancho, Flamingo, Hacienda, Riviera, Royal Nevada, Sahara, Sands, Silver Slipper, Stardust, and Venice Villa.

December 1, 2002 - I've been lucky enough to have many people who were/are involved in the Strip offer to help me out on this site. I've been adding information and/or pictures donated by these wonderful individuals. First of all, I added some memorabilia to the Aladdin, Circus Circus, and Dunes' souvenirs pages as well as Silver City donated by Mike Christ. Mike also gave me a picture of the Excalibur taken on timer from the Marina resort in 1990.

I've been talking with Sam Melchionne regarding El Rancho Las Vegas where Sam once performed. On the site I have a picture of Nugget Nell but it is on a wall outside of the lounge. He said Nell was in the lounge but I could never find a picture. Sam shared with me a picture of him playing the piano on the stage in the lounge with Nell right there with a cute story about Nell. He also gave me a great picture of the original El Rancho sign. I asked Sam about Ted Fiorita and he shared a story and an article with me that I also put on the El Rancho's page.

Sam was nice enough to introduce to some of these famous Strip performers at Sahara's birthday party. One of these people is Nelson Sardelli. Previously Nelson has given me stories and pictures and was inducted into the Trop's Hall of Fame. I asked him to find someone who took pictures and give what he could find to me for my site. Well, he was able to locate a picture which I put up on the Trop's page.

Carol Knoll shared with me pictures and her experiences with Barry Manilow at the Desert Inn and Rick Springfield at New MGM Grand and Caesars Forum Shops as well as stories about the new Oceans 11 at the Bellagio, Sid Ceasar at the New MGM Grand, and OJ Simpson at the Monte Carlo.

David Wyman, nephew of Sid Wyman, shared some stories of his uncle with me that I put on the Dunes page.

I want to thank you all for taking the time to share your stories and pictures with us all. I really appreciate helping me document the ladies on the Strip!

I'm now heading into the past with information and/or pictures to the Hotel Last Frontier for the years 1947, 1950, 1952/1953, and Silver Slipper 1952/1953.

December 2, 2002 - Hi everyone. I know. Its been awhile since I updated the site. I've been spending my time revamping the site freeing up space, etc. I know plenty of you wrote in and I'm sorry I haven't written back. I was trying to get this done so I can concentrate on the site. I will get to your e-mails as soon as possible.

I know this is short notice but if anyone is interested, John Neeland gave me the following to share with you - USA Roller Sports Offers Sports Specific First Aid Training at Congress and Expo, and USA Roller Sports and The U.S. Olympic Committee Offer Self-Employment Workshop at Congress and Expo.

I want to thank John Neeland at the Riviera and Germaine Thompson at the Sahara for their patience. They have been updating me even though I explained to them what I've been doing with the site and it was going to take time. They could've just said to hell with her and not send me things but they didn't so many thanks to John and Germaine for keeping the faith! With that said, I have completed the future history of both the Riviera and Sahara as follows:

Riviera - I've added news items and/or pictures on Crazy Girls and the added attractions for Splash; an updated picture of Steven Wayne as Cher on La Cage's page; Ricci Martin, son of Dean Martin, appearing at the resort; Dr. Scott and the Hypo-Chicken; bios and pictures of who is appearing on New Year's Eve, as well as all the parties going on at the resort; Marino and La Cage visiting KVBC; the bio of new Crazy Girls Ruthie Gastineau (and news on her appearing on Livin' Large and The Fifth Wheel) and Melamia DeLosSantos (on Crazy Girls' page off of Riv's main page); updated picture of Jimmy Emerson as Roseanne on La Cage's page as well as the announcement of his new position with the show; and Kelly Osbourne celebrating her birthday with her famous dad and the cast of La Cage on La Cage's page. Since the cast of La Cage was invited to the party at the Venetian, the information and pictures are on both pages. I've also added information on Crazy Girl Kelly Adkins and Jennifer Alaimo. Mikhail Panin returned to Splash with a new partner, Margarita Barber. I've added her bio to the skaters' page located off of the Riv's index page. La Cage has a new addition as well, Sammy Gonzales as Liza. I've added his picture as well as his bio on the La Cage's page.

Sahara - In addition to Sahara's 50th Birthday bash, she is prolonging her birthday with her New Year's Eve bash which I've added to her page. I've also added information regarding Thanksgiving as well as NASCAR's annual Feast To Go program which some of you may want to take advantage of for the Christmas holidays. Sahara also provided me with more pictures from her 50th birthday as well as a description of her lounge acts. Many thanks Germaine!

As you will note from my main page, Imperial Palace visionary Ralph Engelstad has passed away. Unfortunately, I was never able to get information on Engelstad for a bio but now with his passing, I've been able to put something together which can be found under my bio's page. I've also added some information on the Imperial Palace's page. This is of sadness to me, as the Imperial Palace is the only resort owned by an individual but Larry Houck at the Palace was the first to help me with this site, believed in what I was trying to do, and I used him as a reference to the other resorts which I'm sure helped me in obtaining their cooperation.

For those of you who signed up to be reminded when this site is updated, don't be surprised if you get more than one notice. I'm going to try to add more to the site tomorrow and Monday.

October 14, 2002 - Well I'm back from the Sahara's birthday gathering. I'm so glad I went. This was definitely a once in a lifetime experience. I finally got to meet and see some of the Sahara/Strip veterans that I've written about since 1997. I have written up my experiences which are on my Miscellaneous page. I've also added information, quotes and pictures from the celebration to Sahara's page, and some information and/or pictures to Desert Inn and El Rancho's pages. Some of the pictures from the celebration were taken by me but I couldn't get close to get really good shots so Nelson Sardelli was nice to give me his photographs to use on this site. Many thanks Nelson!

I had the honor to meet some of the veterans that made Vegas and two have their own website - Carme, and Nelson Sardelli. I got their URLs and they are listed on my links page. In addition, Nelson is the founder of Cast Inc, and the link to that site is also listed on my links page. I have some good news! Since returning from Vegas I've been able to contact both Carme and Nelson Sardelli and they have agreed to help me with this site. They are both leaving town for various engagements but promised to help when they get back. Nelson had some time before he left and he began helping me by giving me information to the Thunderbird from 1965, and Sahara from 1974. In addition, Nelson was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the Tropicana this past weekend. I asked him if anything happened and he added his comments which are on the Tropicana's page.

I have always believed in giving credit when credit is do. Bear with me for a moment while I publically thank some people.

Many thanks to Germaine Thompson from Sahara for making it possible for me to attend the 50th birthday gathering by giving me a discounted room. Without you, I definitely would've missed something that I would always regreted. I missed the Desert Inn's birthday party because I didn't have the money and I regret it to this day. Thank you very much Germaine for giving me a great memory.

John Neeland at the Riviera for giving me a tickets to shows so I can be thoroughly entertained while I was there. I really appreciate you doing this for me everytime I go to Vegas!

Many thanks to Sam Melchionne. Sam helped me with this site quite a bit. He also helped Germaine get some pictures for the display, and he helped contact the veterans making the initial contact for the gathering. Sam I know you are so busy with your business and you really were great!

Many thanks to Mike Christ. Mike also helped me with this site quite a bit. He took time out from his busy schedule to have breakfast with me, talk via phone with me later that day. Also Mike, many thanks for the beautiful picture and the Silver City cards. I really appreciate it!

Many thanks to the Sahara veterans who took the time to meet me and/or have pictures taken - Freddie Bell, Sam Butera, Carme, Karl Carsony, Chuck Diamond, and Nelson Sardelli.

My boss, Bob Kaczmarek, for helping me make the decision to go. I knew that I really didn't have the money and when I told him his simple comment "You've got to go" said it all.

September 30, 2002 - As some of you know, I've been working to the Sahara's page all done in time for her birthday. Well, I just found more information so I've added information from 1954, 1955, 1958, 1967, 1972 to the birthday girl.

As I stated last week, there will be a press conference which will not be opened to the public. From 1:00pm to 4:00pm there will be cake and punch served in the famous Casbar Lounge. I know Charo, Steve Wyrick, and our own Sam Melchionne, who has helped so much with this site, will be there as well as some other Strip entertainers that appeared at the resort over the decades. Remember, if you're going to be in Vegas on October 7th, don't forget to stop by the 6th Lady on the Strip and wish her Happy Birthday! You may meet a Sahara veteran performer!

Two years ago, I missed the Desert Inn's birthday party due to lack of funds and I've regretted it ever since. This time I thought here I go again, missing another Lady's birthday. Well, Germaine Thompson at the Sahara was kind enough to offer a big discount on my room at the Sahara if I would like to attend the birthday gathering and have some cake. I decided I'm not going to miss another Lady's birthday so I will be going. I want to thank Germaine Thompson and the Sahara for their hospitality in giving me the discount! At least this will be one birthday I won't miss!

Many thanks to Dan Stafford for his monetary contribution to this site. You can view Dan's name on my donator's plaque.

I also added tibits of information and/or pictures to El Rancho - 1951/1952, 1954, 1955, 1957, and 1958, Bonanza - opening night, and Royal Nevada - 1955.

September 22, 2002 - I was able to add information and pictures from Louis Prima/Keely Smith's album recorded live at the Sahara in 1958.

As we all know, we have a birthday coming up. The Sahara will be celebrating her big 50th on October 7th. I have been trying to get the birthday girl's page ready for her big day so I've added information/pictures from her opening, 1953, 1954, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1961, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1967, 1969, 1971, 1977. I've also added some information to Sahara's Stan Irwin's bio.

On Sahara's 50th birthday, a press conference will be conducted at 10:00am with Sahara executives, entertainers Charo and magician Steve Wyrick, as well as employees who have been working at the hotel since the 1950s, '60s and '70s. All will be available for photographs and interviews. From 1:00-4:00 p.m. cake and beverages will be served to the general public in the Casbar Lounge. If you're in Vegas on October 7th, be sure to stop by and say Happy Birthday to the sixth Lady on the Strip.

Our awesome Dan Kubota found quite a little book. Its a Guide to Vegas dated 1968, that not only includes some descriptions of the Ladies, but also Chefs who worked at the resorts along with their favorite recipes. This book also contains a few other recipes, and the bio of Judy Bayley which until today, I couldn't get enough on her to write about. This is a great little book and I thought you'd get a kick to see the recipes and maybe try them yourselves so you can prepare what the Chefs did back then. I therefore added all I could to each of the Ladies as well as the bio of Judy Bayley under her husband's Doc Bayley in my Bios Section. Dan also found a society book from 1970 for Vegas and I'm including some short bios from this book as well. As always buddy, many thanks for being such a great treasure hunter and sharing your finds with us!!

I also added the bio for Dunes' orchestra leader Russ Morgan in the Obit Section.

Many thanks to Carol Knoll for making another monetary contribution to this site. I have added her name to my donation plaque. Carol, you're awesome and I thank you for everything!

One thing I've experienced since the September 11th attacks is the creativity that people are showing to remember the event and the souls no longer with us. I've been e-mailing with Pete and Chantel Rizzo over at Old Vegas Chips. I was at their site and noticed a 9/11 chip. I thought it was absolutely beautiful and bought two. They came in and they are just wonderful. If you like chips and want a truly beautiful remembrance of 9/11, go to Pete & Chantel's site.

Speaking of Pete & Chantel - I've added their link to my main page. Quite often people will send me scans of chips and other items asking me to assess their worth. I'm not a collector of items. I collect paper only as it pertains to the Strip. I have no idea what chips, items, etc., are worth. If you send me scans, I just refer you to Pete & Chantel. Skip the middleman and visit go directly to their site. Thanks Pete & Chantel for helping so many of my readers!

September 1, 2002 - I'm still adding tibits of information from 1971 and 1972 to all the ladies, as well as a few pictures of the Frontier taking during the early 1970s, and information and pictures regarding Siegfried & Roy's appearance at the resort in 1981, and general resort information from 1969. I've also added pictures and/or information to Stardust - 1980, and Riviera - 1963.

August 25, 2002 - I've been doing some piece-meal catch up of all the tid bits I have: I've added the 1982 Boylesque program to the Slipper Slipper.

I've had many people contribute information and/or items and didn't want to be named. These people were normally employed by the resort or close friends of the individuals allowed so their knowledge is not hearsay. They were there as history was made. My problem is how to "label" them so I know to go back and ask them further questions if I need to. I decided to assign each unnamed donor a letter so I know who they are. I'm starting with Donator L who contributed their knowledge about Holiday Casino and Landmark. Many thanks L for giving me this information!

Bob Frischmann of St. Louis, MO, provided me with some memories of the Marina Hotel and Casino. Thanks Bob for sharing your memories and describing the resort!

Carol Knoll was kind enough to provide me with pictures from her private collection of the Dunes before and after the implosion. I found these pictures to be very dramatic as well as tragic as they explicitly show this Lady in her final death pose. I put these photos on the Dunes' page. Many, Many thanks to Carol for providing me with these pictures!

Mike Christ, who has been connected with many of the resorts from Dunes to Excalibur has been helping me with his memories and knowledge, including his part in the Silver City being "discovered". I've added his memories and/or his chips to Tropicana, Dunes, Silver City, Slots A Fun, and Thunderbird/Silverbird/El Rancho,

Don Meehan was kind enough to share with me some experiences he had in connection with the Guy Lombardo band at the Desert Inn in 1957. Many thanks Don!

Let's scoot on over to my Links page for just a moment. I've been meaning to ask a friend of mine (as well as ex-employer) if I could put a link from my site to his and every time I spoke with him, I just plain forgot. I finally remembered to ask him. For those of you who is interested Richard Hatch of Battlestar Galactica/Streets of San Francisco/Story of Jan & Dean fame, make sure you check out his site. Sorry Richard for taking so long to ask you. It only took 3 years - me forget things - never!
I've also added Dave's Favorites site as well. This is a very complete site, and they have good taste, they used my background!

I'm now moving on to recent history. I've add just a little info about the union settlement at Park Place, MGM Mirage, Harrah's, Tropicana, and Mandalay Bay resorts. I've added significant recent history to Flamingo, Caesars, Mandalay Bay.

August 24, 2002 - - I know, you're asking where the hell I've been. For someone who always updated this site, and the most I've ever left it alone was 3 three weeks, this is very unusual for me. I've been doing research on how to protect this old site from being stolen. I found out one sure way is to print it in book form. The big problem with this was the cost. I definitely didn't have enough money to have the site printed in its entirety. I was shocked as to how much it costs to print anything in a book and I had to save up. The first twelve properties are now in book form which I call The History of the Las Vegas Strip - The First Twelve - A look at the first twlve properties that created the Street of Lights. This book consists of the history of the El Rancho Las Vegas to Tropicana - hence, the first 12. Of course I had to order a minimum amount so I'm selling them on this site. Look at the announcement above or on the main page if you would like to purchase this book. If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me as there are no refunds. Who knows, if this goes well, I might add the rest or create a couple volume book with the entire site included.

I'm now going to hop on over to the Riviera. As we all know, there is always something going on with the 9th Lady. I've added more information for her New Year's Eve party. Splash is closing down from September 11-13, 2002, to make way for a brand new Splash show so if you want to see this one before it ends, your time is limited. I've added short bios of Splash's Jill Landess, Olga Shalyganova and Scott Brothers (with a brief history of Pop-Lock-Break resurgence). Also, how did Frank Marino end up in a room full of women signing bras, as well as going to attend a topless wedding? - You can find these amusing stories on the Riv's page as well. I didn't put this on Frank's page because this is an example of what Marino said "Only in Vegas"! Riv played headquarters to a production company in July and she is adding a new show of which I've added information as well as brief bios. Also, Jay White as Neil Diamond and Sharon Owens as Barbra Streisand will be performing a duet!
I've also added details of Frank Marino's 20th Anniversary with his latest publicity picture, as well as a recent visit from Priscilla Presley, with their picture together, which can be found on his page off of the Riv's site.
As Crazy Girls are looking at their 15th Anniversary, I've added their controversy problems written by Wayne Bernath on the Riv's page. I did not want to add this to the Crazy Girl's page because this shows what Riviera went through, hence, it is part of Riviera's history. Karen Raider is the original Crazy Girl so I added her comments on the Anniversary to the Crazy Girls page off of the Riv's.

I'll probably be adding more information to this site this weekend so don't be suprised if you get a couple of reminders for those of you who registered with Change Detection.

July 21, 2002 - I have many silent donators to this site. One of them, Mike Christ, knew Herb McDonald and I asked him to review Herb's bio for accuracy and to add anything he would wish. Mike added his comments and you can view them on Herb's bio page. Many thanks Mike for taking the time to review the bio and add your comments!

Let me get to the future history first. As some of you know, Burt Reynolds was appearing in Vegas, I think it was/is at the Sun Coast but I'm not sure. Anyway, Burt decided to spend an evening with the Crazy Girls and I've added that to the Crazy Girls page off of the Riviera's. They also added a mini-documentary before each of their shows.

I have a pile of little mysteries in doing this site and one I had was about the world-breaking flight that the Hacienda had sponsored. Our beloved Dick Taylor told me part of it along with other memories that I had added off of the Hacienda's page quite a while ago. I still had some questions like what did the plane look like, was the record ever broken, what happened to the pilots, and where did the plane go. Well, I found the answers and bought a couple of pictures and I have to list myself under the stupid category for one of them - its called ignore the obvious! I've added all the answers to the Hacienda's page. I'm sure a lot of you know this but I sure didn't. Everytime I landed and took off from McCarran International Airport I would see this Cessna plane with Hacienda on it and thought it was one of the junket planes that Bayley used. Well, guess what, I had been looking at the record-breaking plane all along and did know it. Big duh on my part!

I've added information and/or pictures to Desert Inn from 1950, Dunes from 1953, Frontier from 1948, 1949, 1956, 1975, Sands from 1974, Flamingo from 1945, 1949, 1953, O'Sheas from 1988, Royal Nevada from 1955.

July 15, 2002 - I asked Sam Melchionne if he would like to add anything to Herb's bio since it was Herb and Stan Irwin that hired Sam for the Sahara. If you hadn't visited Herb's bio since Thursday, please do as Sam added a couple of items and I added a bit more about his wife. Thanks Sam once again for contributing!

Since I started this site I've had some really fascinating things happen to me, and somehow, whenever I need something, fate would step in and supply it. The perfect example is needing something for Herb's page and fate leading me to his bio in the old 1966 Fabulous Las Vegas Magazine which I described below. Similarly, when Steve Wynn bought the Desert Inn, I found an article from Etta Cortez recalling her feelings when Howard Hughes' people put the Desert Inn up for sale. It seemed she wrote it to Wynn.

Well, I've been thinking about Herb and how sweet he was and in looking over a 1956 Fabulous Las Vegas, I found a memorial that was written about Tommy Dorsey when he died by a friend of his. As I read it, I realized that it was so beautiful and even though it is decades old, I feel that it relates just as well now, especially right after Herb's death. I've added this article written by Vi Taylor to the Frontier's page as with just a little editing, it could match what I would've liked to say about Herb. I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I did, especially during this time period when another Vegas/Strip visionary has passed on.

Let's move on to present history. First, Craig Swanson donated a copy of a Vegas World chip which I put on her page. Craig said it is valued at $400-$450. I have no idea but it sure is pretty.

Circus Circus picked up an award for the RV area Circusland. Please visit Circus' page for the details.

John Neeland and David Silverstein gave me some present information that I added to the Riviera's page. Many thanks guys!

On your last trip to visit the ladies, did you feel that maybe lady luck wasn't on your side. Well, read the latest facts on slots machines on my Fun Facts page.

A few months back a good friend of Dan Kubota passed away. Dan gave me some postcards of the ladies on the Strip that belonged to Scott. Dan said he didn't want credit - he wanted me to put In Memory of Scott Robins. I added Scott's postcards to Desert Inn, Riviera, Hacienda, and Thunderbird.

I've also added another link to my Links page. This site deals with freeways and its actually quite interesting.

I've added either information and/or pictures to the following:

Aladdin - 1973
Anjoe's - 1959, 1960
Caesars - 1971, 1973
Circus Circus - 1973
Desert Inn - 1962, 1965, 1973
Dunes - 1962, 1965, 1973
Flamingo - 1962, 1965, 1973
Flamingo Capri - 1965
Frontier - 1956, 1962, 1965, 1973
Hacienda - 1973
Holiday Casino - 1973
Las Vegas Hilton - 1971, 1973
Landmark - 1971
MGM Grand - 1971, 1973
Riviera - 1955, 1962, 1965, 1968, 1971, 1973
Sahara - 1962, 1965
Sands/Venetian - 1962, 1965, 1971, 1973, 2001
Silver Slipper - 1959, 1962
Stardust - 1962, 1965, 1973
Thunderbird - 1962, 1965, 1973
Tropicana - 1962, 1965, 1971, 1973

July 10, 2002 - Yes, this is unusual for me to upload things during the week and for those of you who registered with Change Detection, you'll probably get another update notice this weekend.

In creating/updating this site I've had the wonderful opportunity to talk with many awesome people. One person was Herb McDonald. As a matter of fact, during my last telephone conversation with him I was trying to convince him to give me a bio to put on this site. He kept saying no and I figured I would bug him the next time I spoke with him. Well, there will be no next time.

David Silverstein e-mailed me this morning and told me Herb died. Thank you David for letting me know. I appreciate it.

Needless to say, I was floored. Herb was truly a gentleman's gentleman. Charming, personable, knowledgeable, always willing to answer my questions - no matter how many, and was the type of man that I associate with the men long gone - the David Niven type.

I decided to try to do a bio on Herb and started collecting information and if you look below, I actually started one and uploaded it last week. Quite ironically, I was going to contact Herb, read it to him, and see if he wanted to add anything. Like fate stepped in, I was looking through some 1966 Fabulous Las Vegas Magazines I received and there was a profile for Herb. I've now added it and if you would like to read what I have on Herb so far, please go to the bios page.

I do have to say, I'm still pretty upset, and as usual when you lose someone so dear, I wish I told him how delightful he was to talk to. I always hung up the phone with a smile and would immediately tell my daughter about our conversation and what an incredible man he was. Herb, you'll be missed but not forgotten!

During the week, I add things to the site to upload on the weekend. This is what I've done so far. Hopefully, I'll have more by late Saturday/Sunday.

Flamingo - early 1940s, late 1940s/early 1950s, 1988
Frontier - late 1940s, 1953
Sahara - 1988

July 6, 2002 - Well, I'm trying to get back on with this site after the hell of vegascasinogames.info stealing my site for the second time. Coincidently, my e-mail box is full of e-mails with viruses attached. I have McAfee On-Line so they are all being deleted before they are downloaded but it does seem to be quite a coincidence, wouldn't you say?

Stan Lavine has donated a picture of him taken in 1954 or 1955 at the Flamingo with Freddie Morgan who was with Spike Jones' band which I've added to the Flamingo's page. Many thanks Stan! They are great pictures!

When I went to Vegas this past June I was fortunate enough to see a very moving sight. Fire departments from all over the world gave t-shirts with their logos to be draped along the fence surrounding the resort in memory of the September 11th attacks. What a moving sight! I took a couple of pictures of this display and put them on New York New York's page. If you belong to a fire department and you want to donate a t-shirt to this memorial, contact New York New York directly as I have no information.

I've added information and/or pictures to the following:

Aladdin - 1992
Bally's - 2001
Bellagio - 1997
Boardwalk - 1996
Caesars - 1996, 1999
Dunes - 1973, 1992
Hacienda - 1962
Imperial Palace - 1983
Las Vegas Hilton - 1996
MGM Grand - 1996
Mirage - 2000
Riviera - 1999
Sahara - 1999
Stardust - 1958, 1992
Stratosphere - 1997
Transportation - 2001
Tropicana - 1999, 2000, 2002
Venetian - 1999

I've added Tammie Rankin's picture and more of her bio to the Crazy Girls' page off of my Riv's page.

Now I've got some future history to add. I added a picture John Neeland sent me of Stephen Sorrentino's Press Party on June 11, 2002. Frank Marino went to Ozzy Osbourne's birthday party in Beverly Hills. Please check it out on Marino's page off of my Riv's page.

June 30, 2002 - If you read my updates below you will see that David Shugarman lent me a map that I put on my Donations, Maps, etc., section. We got e-mailing each other about the flooding during the construction of Caesars Palace and the continuous water problems that Imperial Palace still experiences during heavy raining seasons. We were also discussing the "lake" that Flamingo Capri (Imperial Palace) announced it was building a lake and why did Flamingo Capri want to build a lake on the Strip. David pointed out to me that the wash is located on the map he lent me. This hit me as in reading the FBI files on Ben Siegel there was a phone tap in his hotel as he discussed the resort. His attorney had asked him why they moved the casino from the original blueprints closer to the street. In 1945, Siegel and Del Webb both told him that they hit water and couldn't dig deep enough to accommodate a resort the size of Flamingo. Therefore, they built the main building closer to the street. Since the map clearly shows the wash runs along side the Flamingo and not through it, we were speculating on whether it was an over-flow, or what it was that Siegel hit. This is just one of the little mysteries I run into daily so I figured I'd let you all see the wash as well. That is on my Donations, Maps, etc., section under with a New tab next to it. David, I've kept this map so long I bet you're thinking of going to court to get visitation rights. I promise, the map will be back out to you on Tuesday. Many thanks for lending it to me and letting me keep it forever and a day. I really appreciate your patience with me and our interesting e-mails!

I've been working on the Castaways page. I got a little more history on the Gateway to Luck, and added more information as well as quotes and pictures from her closing.

I've been lucky enough to have some great people giving me information for this site including Sam Melchionne, Stan Irwin, and Herb McDonald. I had talked Stan into giving me a bio to put up on the bios section but so far I haven't convinced Sam or Herb. I've been finding out tidbits of information though on Herb and started a bio for him which I've added to my bios page.

I've been adding tidbits of information from early 2002 to Bellagio, MGM Grand, Tropicana, Mirage, Imperial Palace, and Desert Inn. I also added a few fun facts from 1960 and 1961 as well as updated tipping information to my Fun Facts page, more information and pictures on the opening of Excalibur, entertainment information from 1988 and 1990 for the various ladies, late 2001 information to Monte Carlo, and Rosewood Grille.

June 26, 2002 - I hope you noticed my 4th of July greeting to you all! I thought this picture was just too cool! A friend of mine, Kim, works for Sea World here in California and had sent me this pictures with a 4th of July greeting. I thought it was so neat that I wanted to give it to you all. I have a larger version of the picture if you need it for cards, etc. Just e-mail me and I'll send it to you. Thanks to Kim, and Shamu of course, for allowing me to use it on this site and giving me permission to give it out.

I want to thank David Shugarman for making a monetary contribution to this site! I have added his plaque to my Donations, Maps, etc., page. Many, many thanks David. I really appreciate it.

I'm going to the future history first. Wynn filed with the SEC to finance the Le Reve.

I'm running on down to the Riviera now. The 9th lady on the Strip is so busy I just can't keep up!
The cast of La Cage invited who maybe the nation's oldest female impersonator, Billy Smith, to their show. He had recently suffered a stroke and was in a depression. You can read about it and see the souvenir picture on my La Cage's page located off of the Riviera's index page;
Jennifer Marie Alaimo, from the school featured in the movie Fame has joined Crazy Girls and I've added her picture and bio to my Crazy Girls page located off of the Riv's page;
the Riv is now showcasing The Dream King starring Trent Carlini who was previously at Imperial Palace, Las Vegas Hilton, and Boardwalk Casino. I've added his credits, picture, and particulars on the Riv's page. I've also added the link to his website off of the Riv's and my links page; and, the details of seeing Splash having a meal on them which is also on the Riv's page.

I'm moving on to my Links page now. I have added the Hendersonville Police Department to my Miscellaneous Section. This is not an ordinary police website and I urge you all to visit it; Dan Davis Wrote consists of Davis writing detective novels that never existed. Neither do the magazines, biographies, record covers or reviews. Check this out!; and Gamblers Advisors.com which discusses all kinds of on-line gaming, among other items. Please check them all out!

I've been working on the holidays of 1955. I've added individual holiday wishes to my Donations, Maps, etc., page. I've added casino related holiday wishes to Colonial House, Desert Inn, Dunes, El Rancho Las Vegas, Flamingo, Frontier, Riviera, Royal Nevada, Sahara, Sands, and Stardust.

I had asked Sam Melchionne why he left Sahara in 1968 and he explained the reason.

June 16, 2002 - First I have a couple of happy birthdays - Happy Birthday to my roommate Sean Hagen (6/7), and my boss Bob Kaczmarek (6/13). This Taurus thinks she is surrounded by Geminis!

I'm going back to 1952. David Shugarman lent me a map dated 1952 which I have added to my Donation Plaque, Vegas Maps page. This is a great map so I also added maps to North Vegas, and Nellis Air Force Base. You thought I would never get to it huh David? Not to worry. It may take me awhile but I get to everything. Many thanks to David for lending me this map. This was great!

I've added information to Kirk Kerkorian's bio.

I'm going to skip on over to the birthday girl now, Sahara. As some of you know, at one time the sixth lady on the Strip was helping me with the site and then they stopped. John Neeland over the Riviera told me of another person to contact so I wrote that person a letter, and sure enough, I received an e-mail from them saying they would love to help.

I've been working to update the birthday girl and I was given some great pictures. They also told me to use anything and everything I can from their site. I love getting carte blanche! They sent me long-time employees, Steve Wyrick's bio, exterior and interior pictures, commemorative chips, along with other items so stop by her page and read about this birthday slot tournament.

Also, you may want to stop by the Sahara's site. You will see a 50 year time-line, please visit it as the company they hired did an absolutely fantastic job. While you're reading it, don't be surprised if you see information and pictures from this site. Quite a few months ago, the company contacted me and asked if they could use the information and pictures for the presentation. The way I see it, Sahara should have all my information and pictures as it is about her so I told them to take anything and everything they want to help Sahara celebrate her birthday in grand style. Please visit that time-line.

Now I'm moving south on the Strip up to the Riviera to see what the 9th lady on the Strip is up to. Australian singing star David Gilchrist has a limited venue in the Le Bistro Theatre in July and August. I've added his picture and a real interesting way to publicize his appearances. Normally I condense things when I can, but this way of advertising really cracked me up so I wanted to share it with you all;
What is happening with the La Cage Mannequin Exhibit in front of the resort;
Why is Ripley's probing the Crazy Girls Butts statue, and why Ripley's maybe looking for you;
Find out how Riviera helped our Marines fighting for our freedom;
With this day and age of not being able to trust anyone, Riviera has their Honesty Awards for employees who turned in money or items. I've added these trusted employees under February and March, 2002. I don't know what amazes me more, how honest these people are or how many people leave things;
Riviera Chaplain, Lieutenant Colonel Charlie Bolin had to resign from the resort. He explains why;
Read some background for Neil Diamond impersonator Jay White which can be found off the Riv's page;
How does Frank Marino do to keep his girlish figure? Click on his page off of the Riv's to find out;
Joe Trammel, the host of Crazy Girls, has his own website and I added the link to the Riv's page as well as my Links' page. Trammel's description of his site can be found on the Crazy Girls' page, located off the Riv's, as well as the new characters he is adding to Crazy Girls. Mind you, presently it is under construction but hopefully it will be up soon.

When I was in Vegas, June 2-6, 2002, I was at the MGM Grand and rumors were flying that newlyweds won an incredible amount of money from a quarter machine at Circus Circus. Luckily for me, Circus is one of the resorts that help me. Check out Circus Circus page for the details.

I've been working on the year 1973. I've added entertainment to all the ladies. I've added pictures and/or information to Aladdin, Caesars Palace, Circus Circus, Desert Inn, Dunes, Flamingo, Frontier, Hacienda, International/LV Hilton, Landmark, old MGM Grand, Riviera, Sahara, Sands, Stardust, Thunderbird, and Tropicana.

June 11, 2002 - When I first opened this site in 1999, I had other website owners tell me to watch out for the, well, let me say, the strange people that write in. I've been in lucky in that I haven't had abnormal people write to me even though I receive at times 250 e-mails a day regarding this site. The only problems I've had was with possible donators who wanted to get paid or decided it was their site because they added a sentence or picture.

I finally did receive an e-mail from a "gentleman", and I use the term loosely, and because of my nature I think he is pretty funny. I knew I got a nut when the first e-mail contained the words "the nerve". Apparently this man is angry because I had to put stamps on my pictures. When I told him that I had spent over $15,000 for this website and so far I've seen not only my pictures on other sites without getting credit or a contribution, my site has been stolen not once, but three times (the other two took their site down when they received an e-mail from me).

I guess he decided this site was created exclusively for his pleasure and seemed to be really annoyed that the Hickory Room on the Riviera's page had the stamp. Now that was when all flags went up. Yep, this guy is really weird! He then decides to tell me how to do my site using ideas that simply don't work. Of course, he doesn't have a site of his own, its much easier to critize others I suppose, and of course he states "no one told you to spend $15,000." What was really funny was when he offered to help. Apparently, instead of building his own website he wanted to work on mine to build his "resume." How nice of him to work on an established site and then take credit for it. I had to remind him that I didn't ask him to look at my site, his opinion or his help. I've had too many really nice people write in with suggestions to put up with a self-serving nut.

This is when the true nut came out. His next e-mail contained name calling, swearing, and now he critizes the whole site. I guess he saw his resume going up in smoke and possibly he would have to create a site for himself, and maybe spend money, and time, and decided it was all my fault. Now everything is wrong with my site - writing, navigation, name it and he critized it - so typical! I don't know how old this guy is but his e-mail sounded like something my daughter would've written when she was in the fourth grade and angry at someone, and knew how to swear.

I had a great time reading this e-mail 'cause the real person came out and boy he is no English professor! I really laughed being called "poopy". I was laughing so hard at this childish e-mail that I decided to have some fun. I have to commemorate my very first nut e-mail! This David Niven type guy told me I wear too much make-up and hair spray (I can't use hairspray but its a nice touch). I was also called a compulsive gambler. All this coming from a guy who never met or saw me, and wanted to "Help". Flattery will get him everywhere wouldn't you say? I had some other females read his e-mail and they all had a good laugh wanting to know where he hangs out because this is the type of loser they want to avoid and losers do tend to congregate.

As predicted, when I sent him my last e-mail telling him how childish he was he stated "The Idea was to sound like a jerk-duh!" So typical! An apology was out of the question so it was - oh, I meant to sound like a 9 year old. I was kinda hoping when I got hit with my first weirdo he would at least be unpredictable and unique. Oh well.

I decided to take his name calling and idiotic descriptions and make them into a poll so we can all have some fun. I'm not going to put it on the main page 'cause I feel this is something my repeat readers would like more, especially webmasters who have gotten lots of these types of e-mails. This poll is What Comment Would You Use.

Thanks to you all for letting me have some fun with my first abnormal person. Now back to the site and Vegas. It looks like my guestbook went a little nuts and deleted the names and e-mail addresses of some of the entries. If you left messages in the guestbook from East Peoria, Illinois, and Las Vegas, NV, please give me your name and e-mail address again so I can re-enter them. Thanks!

I've added future history to Flamingo and Bally's.

I've added pictures of my room and the view from New York New York on my June 2, 2002 experiences. I've added pictures of the new time share going up on the old original El Rancho property. I wrote on my experiences that I met Ken Block and asked him any press releases, reviews, and the like. I received them and I put those on the Riviera's page.

Dan Kubota donated a picture of a billboard of the Riviera that was taken on June 25, 1955. The detail is fabulous, not only of the Riv, but the other resorts. Of course the names aren't in it because of the others being competition, but one can clearly see what resort each is.

June 7, 2002 - Hi everyone. I'm back from Fabulous Las Vegas. I have provided you with my experiences which can be found under June 2, 2002 on my Miscellaneous section. I may be adding more things to the site this weekend and I apologize to the people who joined the reminder service if you get more than one reminder. As you read my experiences, you will see what revisions I made in connection with my visit.

As you will read on my experiences, if you happen to be in Vegas on July 10, 2002, comedian Ken Rock will be appearing free at the Riviera at the El Bistro Theater at 8:30pm.

Also, Dan Kubota lent me a magazine from June, 1955 announcing the opening of the Dunes and Moulin Rouge. I added pictures and information to those resorts as well as Desert Inn, Frontier, Royal Nevada, Sands, and Silver Slipper. Dan is going to be selling this magazine so if you are interested please e-mail him. He is still in Vegas at the chip show so you may want to wait until Monday.

I may or may not be adding more. I need to unpack, etc.

May 27, 2002 - Well folks, this will be my last entry until I get back from Fabulous Las Vegas. Wish me luck in getting some more information.

This is a reminder to all you MGM Mirage/Wagerworks players - the last day to redeem your points is June 17th. As most of you know, I was playing the free MGM games every day for an hour and 2 hours on the weekend. I got enough points where my stay in Vegas, other the plane ticket, is free. Many thanks to MGM Mirage Resorts and Wagerworks for having the games up for as long you did so many of us folks who couldn't afford to go to Vegas, could go, me included!

I also want to thank Carol J. Knoll for her contribution to the site. The site and myself appreciate it. Your name is up on the plaque. Have a safe and happy trip to Vegas!

Since my flight is leaving in a few hours, I made very little additions to the site. Briefly, they are as follows:

Flamingo - 1969
Caesars Palace - 1970, 1974
International - 1969

May 27, 2002 - Robert Graham donated a scan of an invitational paperweight to Frank Sinatra's premiere opening at Caesars which I put on her page. Many thanks for Robert for his donation!

I'm doing little updating on the site this week as I am preparing to go to Las Vegas. I will let you know how my trip went!

I've added additional entertainment at the various resorts for 1969 and 1970. I've added a 1969 picture to Circus Circus, and 1977 pictures to Riviera and Desert Inn.

May 20, 2002 - I'm starting this set of updates with a thank you to Loren Kaiser for her monetary donation to this site. Your donation is appreciated! You can view her name on my donator's plaque.

Since I've had this site, I've had some pretty strange requests. A gentleman by the name of Jeff Gray contacted me last year asking me for help in getting logos for his Vegas themed wedding. Now I thought this was a bit strange, the ladies logos with his wedding. Well, Jeff & Lisa were married in March, 2002, and Jeff sent me items from his wedding and his story. It was just too cute for me to keep to myself. I figured if any of you are planning a Vegas themed wedding and wanted some ideas, or you would like to read a cute story this would be it. You can find Jeff's story on my Fun Facts and Information page.

I'm going back to more recent history, specifically November, 2001 at the 9th lady of the Strip. I've added information and pictures to both the Crazy Girls and Frank Marino's pages which can be found off of the Riv's index page.

Let's get to the future history of the 9th lady on the Strip now. The Riviera is really moving! She has added yet two more shows! Dr. Scott's Hypnolarious!, and Stephen Sorrentino's Voices in My Head debuting May 21, 2002. Read about the Strip's latest celebrities. I've also added some 2002 information/pictures to Marino, La Cage, and Crazy Girls' pages including John Bloss' bio to La Cage and the addition of Josephine Brianna Oriyanna to Crazy Girls. John Neeland has also updated me with 2002 flyers of some of the shows. Again and again - thank you John for not only supplying me with everything I ask, now you're starting to read my mind and send me things before I ask! We've been working on this site so long, John knows what I'm going to ask for before I do.

As you may know, the year 2002 marks a 50th birthday for one of the ladies - Sahara on October 7th. It is very hard in Vegas for a lady to reach her 50th! Sahara will be joining a small clan of the mature ladies. There have been only four other ladies to have reached her 50th (Frontier, Flamingo, Thunderbird, Desert Inn), and two of them are now gone (Desert Inn and Thunderbird/Silverbird/El Rancho), with one of them not even being opened to celebrate her birthday (Thunderbird)! To make this year more significant for the Sahara, there is only two other resorts that celebrated her 50th birthday still containing some of her original structure (Flamingo, Thunderbird). I've been working on the birthday girl when she was just a 14 year old teenager - 1966.

This year also signifies another birthday - Tropicana celebrated her 45th birthday on April 4th. Happy Birthday Trop! I hope you last to see your 50th!!!!!!!!

I was able to get some really good stuff about the Stardust from 1977 which took me some time to add because I knew her page would be overloaded. I finally got to it and sure enough, it was too big so I broke her down and she now has an index page as well.

I've added tidbits of information and a few pictures from 1969 to a few of the resorts. A picture or more than a word or two added was Caesars, Desert Inn, Dunes, Frontier, Sands, and Stardust.

Last but not least, I lost quite a few merchants from my Shopping section due to lack of business. Fortunately, I had more merchants and have added them to my Shopping page (I didn't even know Fuller Brush still existed!) Anyway, please check out my new merchants, and remember, a small percentage of your purchase price will help keep this site going and free. If you would just prefer to make a monetary donation and have your name on my plaque, please click here.

May 12, 2002 - Happy Mom's day to all the ladies out there. I hope you have a safe and happy day!

I want to hop down to Circus Circus for a minute. As you may know, double Circus recently won a Best of Las Vegas award for their restaurant The Steak House. Now, I'm a very big prime rib buff. Every Secretary's Day the boss knows I need to go to the Smokehouse in Burbank, and order a prime rib. I was e-mailing with Reggie Burton at Circus discussing the award and I asked Reggie for a picture of the types of steaks one can expect to receive at this award winning restaurant. Reggie complied with my request and you can see the steaks on Circus Circus' page. Many thanks to Reggie for the picture. The steaks made me hungry!

Also of note, I got my very first advertiser for this site! Yep, www.iTravel.bz is my first advertiser and wanted their link to be put on the top of Howard Hughes' bio. I think this is appropriate as if Hughes liked to do anything, was to travel to Vegas in his early years. Please visit iTravel.biz and welcome my very first advertiser!

Speaking of good ole Mr. Hughes, I guess back in 1971, 60 Minutes aired some sort of episode on Vegas and especially on Hughes which apparently wasn't quite was expected. The ladies on the Strip were less than happy and the Tropicana wrote to the producer of 60 Minutes asking what was going on. I don't know what happened but I did get a hold of the producer's response which I put on both the Trop and Howard Hughes' pages.

As you have guessed, I've been working on 1971 and have added information and/or pictures to Caesars, Castaways, Circus Circus, Flamingo, Frontier, Hacienda, Stardust, Desert Inn, International (LV Hilton), Landmark, and Aladdin.

Now I'm skipping down to the Desert Inn for year 1955 when Noel Coward recorded his record there. I've added a picture of the album to the Desert Inn's page.

May 4, 2002 - For those of you who played the games on the MGM Mirage sites for points to be redeemed for free things, the games have ended so you may want to redeem the points you have. I think the cut-off date is June 17, 2002. That is why you haven't heard from me for awhile. I don't have enough money to go to Vegas so I was playing the games to get points. Many thanks to the MGM Mirage games because I scored enough points to get a room at the Treasure Island and New York New York for a total of 4 days, I got some buffets, and I get to see EFX again. I'm going the first week in June for the Trop's chip, etc., show. You may want to mark your calendars for June 5 to I think its the 8th or 9th. I know Dan Kubota will have a table there so make sure you stop by, take a look and say hi to him. For those of you who don't know, this site probably wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him. Plenty of times I wanted to stop and he would send me tons of e-mails and call me numerous times to keep me going. I haven't heard if Howard Klein will be there yet, but I'll let you know. You'll find me roaming around looking for items for this site.

As some of you know who read my past experiences, I have a hell of time getting people to go with me as I'm not the usual gambler/vacationer and I'm usually off doing strange things. Well, Patricia Gilmore of the Burbank Police Department (I affectionately call her Patricial) has decided to see if she can handle me. Wish Pat luck. I'm certainly a handful!

I also want to take a moment to thank John Neeland over at the Riviera. Since Marlene Ricci began her tenure at the Riviera, all John heard from me was how I typed her name in connection with various resorts, how she was chosen to be on the cover of the very first Dunes magazine, etc. Well, I guess he knew what was coming cause he not only invited me, but also Patricial to see Marlene during our visit, guests of the Riviera. I am dying to see her perform and I thank John for giving us both the opportunity to see her. You and the Riv are just tooooooo kewl John!!

Leon Dixon was kind enough to make a donation to this site and I've his plaque to my Donation Plaque. Many thanks to Mr. Dixon for his donation. The site and I appreciate it!!

I've been working on the future history of the ladies. I've added entertainment to various of the ladies. I've also added updated "technical" information to Stardust, and the Park Place Entertainment resorts as well as the Bellagio and the "new" Strip matriarch Mirage's awards - you go girls!

I've also some 2001 information to all the MGM Mirage resorts.

Not only is Sahara celebrating her 50th birthday this year, Tropicana is celebrating her 45th. I've added a quote regarding her birthday.

Going back to the Riviera for a minute. Read about her hosting a party welcoming air service between Southern Nevada and Toyko.

Desert Inn is still in the news!

April 21, 2002 - With sadness I've added the obits of Milton "Uncle Miltie" Berle, and Robert Urich. Both these men contributed a lot to the ladies on the Strip. Berle appeared at many of the resorts, and Robert Urich's TV show Vega$ was filmed all around the Strip particularly at the Desert Inn. Gone but never forgotten.

I've had some information on Rouvaun that I didn't add as I wanted to check with his son Chandler first. Since Chandler has a website for his father I didn't want to intrude. Chandler has given me thumbs up on the addition so I've added some information to both the Dunes and Rouvaun's page. Thanks Chandler for letting me add the information and pictures!

I was contacted by Adele Josephs whose Mom was married to Jake Katleman. She gave me an interesting tid-bit of information that I added on the El Rancho Las Vegas' page.

In March of this year, Chuck Takesian went to the Moulin Rouge and was able to take some pictures which I added to Moulin's page. Many thanks to Chuck for sending me these scans!

I've added soon to be history for all the Mandalay Resort Group resorts, and MGM Grand.

April 14, 2002 - I hope you all had a good week. I've been spending my time, amongst other things preparing taxes. Remember everyone - April 15th is the due date.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Lynn M. Zook for her donation. I've added her name to my donations plaque and on behalf of all my readers, and myself, we appreciate your support in keeping this site free and going!!!!

I got a great souvenir booklet regarding Rouvaun's who appeared at the Dunes. I contacted Rouvaun's son Chandler regarding the dates, and Chandler sent me other items from the show which I've added to the Dunes' page. It also contained some family shots of Rouvaun's family which I put on his obituary. Many thanks to Chandler for answering all my questions and sending me all those wonderful items. I will cherish them!!!

When Del Webb owned the Sahara he also purchased the Thunderbird. For a while the two resorts shared quite a bit including newsletters, etc. Michael Blackstock shared with us a chip he has that states both the Thunderbird and Sahara on its face. I put it under the souvenir sections of both the Sahara and Thunderbird. Many thanks Michael for sharing this delightful chip with us!!

Kelan Meis has some wonderful old pictures of some of the ladies. I've added a pool shot of the Riviera, and the golf course and Sky Room to the Desert Inn. Many thanks to Kelan for sharing these photos with us!

I've been working on 1971 and so far have added the entertainment showcased at the ladies during this year.

March 31, 2002 - Oops, really short update. I didn't know Rockin' USA had their website up and running. They just told me so its on the Links page as well as the Riviera's index page. Sorry about that guys!!!

March 30, 2002 - - Boy, I'll tell you, the 9th lady on the Strip, has had a very busy year and its only April! So far her Le Bistro Lounge has been converted to a mini-showroom, she has Strip veteran/Sinatra protege Marlene Ricci under contract as well as Neil Diamond impersonator Jay White, she has now added another performance, Rockin' USA. This looks like a very exciting show and I've added it to the Riviera's page. I asked Rockin' USA for a picture because we all know how we love looking at pictures of the performers at these ladies. They sent me one and dang if they don't look like the originals. The other fascinating item I would like to point out is I get a lot of people writing in asking where exactly is the Fabulous Las Vegas sign. Well, Rockin' USA is in front of the sign and in the background you can clearly see Mandalay Bay. Now you can see not only the performers but where the sign is. A classic picture!

I've added 1966 Connie Francis' album to the Sahara's page, as well as more pictures of the Beatles' stay at the Sahara in 1964.

Bryan Hong has written in to let me know that the Beach Boys' opening of the Outdoor Events Center at the Stratosphere Sept. 14-15, 2001, was postponed due to the 9/11 Attacks, and was subsequently held Nov. 3-4, 2001. Many thanks to Bryan for letting me know!

I've added information to:

Desert Inn - 1965
Dunes - 1957
El Rancho - 1957
Flamingo - 1957
Hacienda - 1957
Royal Nevada - 1957
Thunderbird -1957, 1965
Tropicana - 1957

Many times I hear from chip collectors who want certain sites to be added to my Links page, the biggest response, being from Pete Rizzo fans whose e-mails were numerous. Well, Noel Tominack, wanted me to let everyone know of Dan Wickett's site, and I've added it to my Links page. Thanks to Noel for this information.

March 24, 2002 - - I get many e-mails asking about where to get various Vegas memorabilia. On my Links page I've added three sources. Jackie Banellos who also has an actual store which I've added under her listing, Dan Kubota who you've all read about on my main pain, and Jan Graham who has a wide selection. Check out their auctions.

When the ladies' pages have gotten too big to handle I've been adding mini-index pages. I've now broken down the Flamingo, Sands and Sahara. In order to do this, I had to go to each main page on this site and change the navigation. I may have forgotten one or two so if anyone runs into a broken link, please e-mail me and let me know. Thanks!

Riviera had her Press Party for Marlene Ricci and Jay White on March 13th. John Neeland gave us a set of pictures of some of the people who attended which I've added to the Riv's page. Many thanks John for keeping us in mind!

Circus Circus is winning some polls and Reggie Burton over at Circus came me the results. Many thanks for Reggie!

Boardwalk is still playing catch-up with me. They have provided me with scans of the tower being built 1995-1996, as well as a picture of the resort minus the Holiday Inn sign. Many thanks to Sally Nicholson for her help!

Nicholas Macias was kind enough to provide a scan of a shoe cleaner from the Riviera and an ashtray from Thunderbird. I've included these in the souvenir sections of both pages. Many thanks Nick for provided these scans!

I've always had a question in my mind and it was recently answered. Maybe some of you knew this but I certainly didn't. By way of background, as some of you know, I have the entire FBI files on Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel. These are volmuninous files, not in any particular order, plenty are blurred, and to top it off, the FBI spent a small fortune buying Marks-A-Lots blacking out big portions. For all of the above reasons, reading this file is tedious, and takes plenty of concentration.

At the same time I always had a question about the third lady on the Strip, Flamingo. Most newspapers and magazines I read stated that the resort had two openings - the first was December 26, 1946 - which was unsuccessful, and the second was on March 1, 1947. The funny thing is that some of the papers would misquote the date of the first opening as of December 28, 1946 and they said the opening was a success. Everything regarding Siegel seems to contradict (which also happens with Howard Hughes), so I kinda put it in the back of my head but kept to the popular facts. I just found the truth sitting in the FBI files. They had informants and surveillance teams at all THREE openings. This is correct, the Flamingo actually had three openings. The second opening was ony two days after the first - December 28, 1946, which went much better than the first but not a great success like the third. I decided to quote the FBI reports on the second opening which seems to clear up some questions I had as to why I always found three dates. Check it out on the Flamingo's page.

I added some interesting information and pictures to the Sands from 1965.

Still staying with the Sands, I was contacted by Leo Lowenthal, nephew to Carl Cohen, who gave me the story about the fight between Cohen and Frank Sinatra which occurred in 1967. I added his story to the Sands' page as well. Many thanks Leo for taking the time to give me the facts!

March 18, 2002 - - Normally I don't update during the week, but John Neeland over at the 9th lady, Riviera, told me that the Passion Plays will begin on March 26th at the resort. I figured for those of you who will be in Vegas between March 26th and Easter Sunday maybe interested in going. Admission is free and all the details are on the Riv's page including what a Passion Play is. Thanks John for letting me know.

March 16, 2002 - - Good fortune has smiled upon me as three individuals made a monetary donation to this site. I decided to create a Donation Plaque showing the individuals who took a portion of their hard-earned money and donated it to keep the site going and free. You can see the plaque on the Donation Plaque, Strip Maps and Pictures section. Many thanks and I guarantee the money will be used for this site only!

Good News! I've heard from the people at the little lady on the south side of the Strip, Boardwalk Hotel & Casino. Apparently, they never received my letters asking for information and history. They are very interested in helping me get their page in shape. They are going to send me some items but I put up what they gave me so far.

Well, I'm back working on the history of these wonderful ladies. The year is 1965. I've added pictures and/or information to Desert Inn, Dunes, Flamingo, Riviera, Sahara, Sands, Stardust, and Tropicana.

One of my monetary donators, Brent Heutmaker, and I have been e-mailing each other and he jogged my memory. Many times I collect things to add to the site and other things pop up and I forget about them. Brent reminded me about the Treasure Island being sued. I have a few items for Treasure Island and forgot all about them. I now added them including Treasure's own problems with the internet. These are under the dates 2000 and 2001. Thanks Brent for getting these old memory cells going again!

March 10, 2002 - I've added the obituaries of Jack Benny, George Burns, and Jimmy Durante to my Strip Obits section.

Again, many thanks for all the e-mails you wrote. Please keep e-mailing the offending site. Hopefully, they will remove my site from theirs and create one of their own - hey, they should do one on downtown!

March 3, 2002 - Well, I'm trying to move on here after all these chaos. I want to thank all who have written to the thieves. I really appreciate it.

As you know, I wasn't able to make my annual trip to see the ladies. Because of this I wasn't able to get the latest pics of the "house" shows and other items I usually get for the beginning of the new year. Fortunately, Bob Kaczmarek went to visit and collected all the pictures, etc., and gave them to me. Because of this, I'm now working on the future history. Many thanks to Bob for gathering all these pictures. I've added 2002 pictures to Bellagio, Harrah's, Las Vegas Hilton, Luxor, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, Mirage, New Frontier, New York, New York, Paris, Treasure Island, Venetian,

I've also added tidbits of information to Mandalay Bay/Four Seasons, and Monte Carlo.

March 2, 2002 - As you have noticed from the News Flash above, I've been dealing with plagiarism of this site on a commercial site so I have not been able to update my own site. As you may have guessed, I am outraged that this is allowed and my initial reaction was to shut this site down. I've have spent $10,000+ on this site, going broke in the process, just to have some idiot on the internet take it and use it to make money. I have been talked out of shutting down the site by some wonderful e-mails that I received encouraging me not to give up and they will be e-mailing the site owners about their plagiarism.

You will note that I've added the webspace company to the News Flash and I would appreciate all of you writing to them as well letting them know that their company is housing a site consisting solely of plagiarism.

At the end of the month will be this site's 3rd birthday and I would love to quietly celebrate her birthday without this other site. By all of you e-mailing the site and the web hosting company, we can accomplish this. Remember, if you use gambling websites, DO NOT join Vegas Casino Games.info as you will be supporting their theft.

I want to thank Brian at my own web hosting company for finding out the webspace information for me. Brian, you're the greatest!

Another revision I had to make was to my guestbooks. I used to allow the entries to show up right away. I know I like seeing my entry immediately to make sure the book recorded it. Unfortunately, since I uncovered the other website's plagiarism, quite a few guestbook entries were made consisting of what various people are going to me and/or profanity. I now review all entries before they show up on the book so it will take up to 24 hours for the entry to show up. Sorry about that, but I think it is better this way for the timebeing anyway.

February 25, 2002 - I've added some entertainment information to the various resorts for 1974 and 1979.

I've added additional information and/or pictures to the following:

Aladdin - 1979, 2000
Desert Inn - 1969
Flamingo - 1969
Howard Hughes' bio - 1969
Imperial Palace - 1997
Marina/MGM Grand - 1979, 1997
Mirage - 1997, 2000
Riviera - 1997
Sands - 1969
Tropicana - 2000

February 22, 2002 - I've added Danny Thomas to my Strip Obituaries.

Let's skip back to the 9th lady, Riviera, for a second. How do stars spend their birthdays. Ask Joe Pesci. I've added his birthday picture and information regarding his birthday to the Riviera's page. John Neeland also gave me a casino picture for 2002 which I put on Riv's page. Thanks John for keeping us all informed!

February 20, 2002 - John Beiter gave me a show program he had for the Best Little Whorehouse In Texas that was playing at Desert Inn in 1978. I have made copies of the pictures and put them on Desert Inn's page. Many, many, many, many thanks to John for giving me this program. It is a great piece of Desert Inn history and I really appreciate it!!!!

Walter Burks was kind enough to give me a scan of his ticket stubs for Frank Sinatra bringing in 1988. I've added it to Bally's page. Many thanks to Mr. Burks for this contribution.

I'm running on down to the 9th lady on the Strip, Riviera, to see what she's been up to. Quite a lot apparently. Bernie Allen's celebrating his 86th birthday to benefit the city's homeless. For those of you in Vegas on February 25th, this sounds like a very fun and worthwhile event. I've also added a quote of La Cage's Jayson Malone to my page to La Cage.

I've added pictures and/or information to the following:

Bally's - 1997
Bellagio - 2001
Caesars Palace - 1989
Desert Inn - 2001
Las Vegas Hilton - 1999
MGM Grand - 1996, 1997
Mandalay Bay - 2001
Mirage - 1995, 1996
Monte Carlo - 1997
New York, New York - 1997
Riviera - 1963, 1996
Stratosphere - 1996
Tropicana - 2001

February 17, 2002 - I'm hoping to get to Vegas the first week in June for the chip, etc, show at the Tropicana using my Wager Works points. Every so often I remind people of this little tidbit. If you go to any of the MGM Mirage websites such as MGM Grand, Bellagio, Mirage, etc., you will see a category that states "Play Games". Now this is totally free for you. Just wager with them and go play the casino games for points. If you go to the prize section you will see what you can do. If you're going to play casino games on line, why not for items you will definitely get? Last year I racked up my points and got a free buffet to Mirage, Bellagio and Treasure Island. I also got a ticket to the roller coaster at New York, New York, but ran out of time and missed it. This time I'm hoping to rack up enough points for a room and other items. Check it out - its a win/win situation for you!

Everytime I hear about a purchase on the Strip I shudder to think its the Sahara. I would love to see another lady on the Strip reach her 50th birthday. As I have stated, only three ladies have reached their 50th birthday - Frontier, Flamingo & Desert Inn. Of those three only one still has some of her original structure existing - Flamingo. Sahara will be turning 50 in October, and she still has some of her original structure as well. Well, a puchase is going on and I'm happy to say its not the Sahara. I am sad to say it is the Tropicana. Although her future is uncertain, talks seems to surround demolishing the Tropicana and building two resorts on her property line. I've put what I've been able to find on the Trop's page.

The Aladdin opened her new $13.5 million spa on February 12, 2002. I've added this information to her page.

As you regular readers know, I usually take time off to just scan pictures that I got off of auctions, papershows, etc. Well, I had a few, and I wanted to rescan a few because when I started this site I had a bandwidth problem so I lowered the resolution on some of the pictures. I now don't have that problem so I'm starting to rescan. New pictures are as follows: second to the top of Trop's page, second to the top on Marina's page, second to the top on Hacienda's page, Jack Carson under 1959 Arabian Nights at the Dunes, a picture of the figure 8 pool near the beginning of Desert Inn's page, and a color picture of the Flamingo's casino below the bi-colored one.

I've rescanned the following: one of the photos of Aku Aku on the Stardust's page, Flamingo with the champagne tower, and the minature golf course on Hacienda's page.

I've added entertainment to some of the various resorts from 1962, 1964, and 1971.

I've added pictures and/or additional information to the following:

Caesars Palace - 1971
Castaways - 1964
Desert Inn - 1962, 1964
Dunes - 1971
Flamingo - 1962
Frontier - 1944, 1964, 1971
International/LV Hilton - 1970
Riviera - 1962
Sahara - 1959, 1962,
Stardust - , 1959, 1962
Thunderbird - 1964

I've also added Sophie Tucker to my obituary section.

February 9, 2002 - I've certainly had an interesting week! I've had contact with many people, and found out some interesting items.

I would like to say to all Desert Inn collectors. I have put one of my menus from the resort up for auction on Ebay. This menu is from the Painted Desert Room is from January 4, 1951 when she was just 9 months old. Please click here to check it out. (Just hit your back button to return to this page.)

First, this is for those of you who signed up with NetMind to be notified when this site is updated. NetMind has gone to a pay site to use. They have stopped notifying anyone who isn't paying them. I'm not paying them. I have found ChangeDetection.com which is a free reminder service. Enter your e-mail address in the box and they will notify you when this site changes.

I have had contact with Chandler Haun. Don't recognize the name? Chandler is the son of Jim Haun who most of you know by his stage name - opera great Rouvaun who appeared at the Dunes. Chandler gave me a short story about his father and the Red Rooster which I added. He also gave me stats on his father including how he died. I have added this information and put his story on my obituary page. In addition, Chandler and his family are creating a site dedicated to this great entertainer. This site is still in the beginning stages but its worth checking out and bookmarking. Chandler has some big ideas for this site so stay tuned! I've added his site to my links page as well as to Rouvan's obit page. I want to thank Chandler for putting up with my endless questions and prying into his father's life (how many questions can I send you in each e-mail!). Such patience!

I've been trying to find out what happened to the pictures Red Skelton took of the El Rancho Las Vegas' death on June 17, 1960. I contacted Don Miller who subsequently contacted Lothian, Red's widow. Lothian has stated that she vaguely remembers seeing some pictures of the resort burning and is currently attempting to find them for me. She fears they may have inadvertently been discarded shortly after Red's death but she will search his memorabilia to see if she can find them. The estate of Red Skelton has a website dedicated to this wonderful comic which I have added to my links page as well as on the bottom of his obit page. This site has many items of Red's that you can buy as he was also a wonderful artist. Many thanks to Mrs. Skelton for taking the time to search for these pictures. Even if she finds out they are gone, I am forever grateful that she is taking time to try to find them for me. Many thanks to Mr. Miller for understanding my search for these pictures and contacting Mrs. Skelton for me. Without you we would never know if the pictures still exist. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I received an e-mail each from Miguel & Angela in New York stating there was a site to sign a petition to have Hall and Oates inducated to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Show you how much I know, I thought they already were. I was quite surprised they weren't considering their long and great career. Anyway, this duo performed in many of the Strip's ladies such as Desert Inn, LV Hilton, Bally's, and Caesars Palace. Just a few of their hits are She's Gone, No Can Do (Can't Go For That), Method of Modern Love, and Maneater, as well as remakes such as Philadelphia Freedom, and You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling. They also allowed me to take pictures of them for this site. For those of you who would like to see them inducted into the Hall of Fame, please click here and sign the petition. Many thanks to Miguel & Angela for bringing this to our attention.

If this keeps up I'm going to call this site Gilligan's Island meets Vegas. If you visited my Fun Facts page you saw Dawn Wells' (Maryann) connection to Vegas. Now I found Tina Louise's (Ginger) connection and added that right under Wells' entry. Great picture!

I'm in the future history right now. Let's go over to the 9th lady of the Strip - Riviera. I've been pumping John Neeland again and I found some interesting facts regarding computers being available to the public, rates for people who want to go on line from their room, and details on the Health Spa and Neil Diamond impersonator Jay White. Stop by the Riv's page to check it all out.

Let's go back to 1969 shall we? In June of this year the town was abuzz about the coming of the second Strip on Paradise with the opening of the International and Landmark. I found a comment by Etta Cortez regarding this issue that I've added to the International and Landmark's pages. I've also added some entertainers' name to the various resorts pages who appeared during June of 1969. I've added some pictures and/or information from this era to: Aladdin, Bonanza, Caesars Palace, Circus Circus, Desert Inn, Dunes, Flamingo, Riviera, and Sands.

Let's go back further still to 1957. I've added entertainers who appeared that year to the various resorts. I've additional pictures or additional information to Dunes, El Rancho Vegas, Flamingo, Hacienda, Riviera, Royal Nevada, and Tropicana.

Last but not least, I've added two sites to my links page. The first is called Vegas Uncovered from a Brit to a Brit. The second is not related to Vegas but it looks into the history of fraternities and I found it rather interesting.

February 3, 2002 - I hope you had a great week! I've doing some work on this old site. Before I begin though, I wanted to let you that unfortunately, Howard Klein will not be at the Bottle/Paper Show. He was too late to get a table. This is sad for all the collectors that could go through Howard's items and get some great buys. I'll let you know if Howard is appearing anywhere else as he tells me.

I'm in the process of creating a new section - The Strip Obituary on my Miscellaneous page. Many of these Strip stars has left us and unfortunately, their importance to the Strip has already faded or will begin to. We need to keep them alive in our memories. Since I'm low in funds I won't be actively looking or doing any research but I will be adding to it as I stumble across them. Of course some of the stars are detailed in my site, weaved through the resort they were best or last known in, i.e., Dean Martin in Riviera and MGM Grand (Bally's), and Frank Sinatra throughout all of the resorts he was known for, but I will create ones to put in this section of those who are not weaved throughout the site. I've started it by adding Foster Brooks, Leo Carrillo, Juan Garcia Esquivel, Peggy Lee, Joe E. Lewis, Julie London, Red Skelton, and Bobby Troup.

January 26, 2002 - Dan Kubota let me know that the Bottle/Paper show will be held at the Union Plaza Hotel instead of the Tropicana this year and it is set for February 15 & 16, 2002. Unfortunately, I will be unable to make my annual visit to this show but you can find all kinds of interesting documents/postcards there. Keep in mind that the last 2 years, Howard Klein was there selling parts of his collection to make room for new items. Make sure you stop by his table if he's going to be there. You are guaranteed that his items are genuine!

I've been getting a lot of e-mails asking about the The Pussycat A-Go-Go. I have absolutely no history on it all so I've never added anything. Dan Kubota knows the address, the year is opened and the year it closed. Since that's all I have, I just added it to my Fun Facts section.

I've been working on the present history and I've jumped over to the 9th lady on the Strip - Riviera. Things are changing there and you can read about it on her page. Highlights are:

Le Bistro Lounge has been remodeled and is now called Le Bistro Theatre;

If you visited Dunes' page on this site you read about Marlene Ricci playing at the Top Of The Dunes. This Frank Sinatra protege was playing at the Flamingo after that. Now she is at the Riviera beginning on January 29, 2002. John Neeland over at the Riv, gave me a bio on this incredible lady which is also on the Riv's 2002 page as well as the Dunes' page. Good luck to Marlene at her new resort!

Neil Diamond impersonator Jay White is also playing at the Riviera from February 1st;

Frank Marino is celebrating his 20th year in show business and I've been give his latest picture as well as his Happy Valentine's Day picture to us all. This picture can be found on my page to Frank off of the Riv's page.

Lastly, John sent me a photograph of the cast of the show Thunder Down Under with the cast of Crazy Girls which is on the Riv's 2002 page. This is a great picture of both casts but it is very sexy. I did put a warning on it that if you are offended by almost nudity, then don't click on it. Please don't write to me saying you are offended - this is a site to the history of the Strip and its history is filled with beautiful bodies and I have two words for you - Grow Up.

I'm now skipping to the other side of the Strip to the MGM Grand. That page has gotten rather large so I did what I did to the Riviera - created a general index page with two sub pages. I've added information regarding December 12 being Frank Sinatra day and the introduction of the new Sinatra slot machines.

Speaking of good old Frankie, Sam Melchionne sent me a great MP3 file of a Sinatra impersonator singing Strangers On My Flight (to the tune Strangers in the Night). I like this file because I think if Sinatra was alive, he probably would have recorded this and gave monies earned to the 9-11 Fund. If anyone is interested in hearing this file, please e-mail me and I'll e-mail it to you. Now I will only do a couple a day so if I get tons of e-mails asking for it, you'll just have to wait your turn.

Speaking of MGM, I've added some new info on visionary Kirk Kerkorian's page.

General plea category - As you may have noticed, some of the pages on this site including this one has the "See the Concierge" picture. This is plaining asking for donations. I've tried adding stores and my on-line shopping section both of which has brought me $13 & some change since 1999. This site is costing me a pretty penny and my finances are down low. I'm trying to avoid having this site become a pay for view site, or taking it down completely as I think this history is important but its getting harder to do this. If any of you love this site and want to keep it up, please donate. If enough people donated even a dollar, I can keep this site going for quite some time. PLEASE KEEP THIS SITE FREE AND CLICK ON THE PICTURE.

Personal Note Here - Many thanks to D.I. Kasza of Wisconsin. As stated, I collect pins including charities/municipalities. Mr. Kasza sent me pins from the Can-Am Police/Fire games - you are so sweet! These are so neat and I thank you for your kindness. I already put them in my collection!!!

January 13, 2002 - As you may have heard, Juan Garcia Esquivel died on January 3, 2002. He was a Strip star mainly appearing at the Stardust in the 1960s. When I can find information on a person I put their obituary on the page of the resort they were last connected with. I have therefore added Esquivel's obit on the Stardust's page. Rest in Peace.

We are moving to the future history of the 9th lady of the Strip - Riviera. I have created her 2002 page. Many, many thanks to John Neeland for continuing to update me! Included in this update is the announcement for the Riv's yearly Super Bowl Party!

Also the following: Frank Marino was presented with a Key to the City by Mayor Goodman. You can read about this on my page dedicated to him off of the Riviera's index page as well his his appearance at the upcoming NATPE conference; Crazy Girl Marla Gomes became a realtor. This can be read on my Crazy Girls page also off the Riv's index page.

Let's speed on to Circus Circus where Amusement Business ranked The Adventuredome. You can read all about it on her page. Many, many thanks to Reggie Burton over at Circus Circus for letting me know!

January 6, 2002 - - Happy New Years to everyone! I've been working on a surprise for you all but its turning into quite a project so let's not hold our collective breath.

I heard from Larry Seitz of Larry Seitz Designs in Miami, Florida, who designed the interior of the Marina. Larry sent me scans of the artists' rendition of the lobby, guestroom, balloom, and Shipwreck Kelly's Bar as well as pictures of the resort which I've added to the Marina's page.

Mike Soskin has been sharing his memories of the Strip with me. His memories are different from what I gathered from my research. As I've done in the past, since I have no proof, both versions will go on the site. These revisions are to the Desert Inn, and Royal Nevada.

Many, many, many thanks to Larry Seitz and Mike Soskin!!! I really appreciate your time!

December 7, 2001 - I haven't added any revisions to the site due to a project I am working on that I will announce in the near future. In the meantime though, I wanted to tell you that in addition to my On-Line Shopping, I also have a Super Store set up for you to do your holiday shopping. This is a commission store and the commissions will go to add further to this site. Please click on the link above to check it out. Thanks!
