December 31, 1999 - My last update of 1999. I added scans of the Algiers that I took in June of 1999, and an aerial scan of the Strip circa 1980's. HAPPY NEW YEARS TO YOU ALL!
December 29, 1999 - I'm going to be updating this site throughout the day so don't be surprised if you come back in a few hours and more has been added. So far I've added the background information of Stardust founder Tony Cornero. I have also added information and pictures given to me by Dick Taylor to the Stardust and Royal Nevada's pages. I have added the Villa Venice Restaurant/Kit Carson Motel to the Motels page. Gary Jacobson gave me some additional links which have been place on my Links page.
December 23, 1999 - The Tumbleweed Motel has been added to the Casino Royale page. The Riviera and Flamingo have been updated with additional information and pictures. The Ottilia Villa Motel has been added to the Motels page. I have also added more information and pictures to the Hacienda and Doc Bayley's page provided to me by Dick Taylor.
December 22, 1999 - I have added to my Motels section the Suez, Full Moon, and Algiers. I have also joined another Webring. This one is the History Ring. I have also added Ed Walters site to my Links page. Mr. Walters was a pit boss for the Sands and has some interesting stories to tell. I also added Jeff Dunham's site to my Links page. Jeff appears at the Sahara, and my daughter, son-in-law and myself are big fans.
December 19, 1999 - I'll working on various properties today. If you are a repeat visitor and some of the pages aren't loading right, please hit your reload or refresh button so you won't be pulling the pages from your cache. Many thanks for Jay Sarno's son, Jay C. Sarno. He has referred a great book to me, The Players, edited by Jack Sheehan. I have now added to the background section the background of Jay Sarno. I've also added some additional links. Jay has also stated he will be giving me some additional information on Caesars Palace in January so stayed tuned! This site won the Useful URLS Pow Award! and was also mentioned in the Scout Report for Social Sciences. Both of these can be found in the Awards section. I've also added a couple of early arial pictures of the Strip.
December 14, 1999 - I've added an aerial picture of the Galaxy Motel on Paris' page. On the Awards I've added the award I just received from Creative Chances and Internet Today gave a recommend to their surfers of this site. I've also added two more affiliates to my On-Line Shopping section. I've also added another great link to my Webring and Links section.
December 11, 1999 - The following resorts have had the New Years Eve information added: Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, New York New York, Sahara, Riviera, Mirage, Stardust, and Treasure Island. In addition to New Years information, Tropicana supplied me with their latest news.
December 10, 1999 - I've been honored to once again being mentioned on Yahoo. They have added this site on their Cool Links page. Thanks to Yahoo!!!
I've been trying to learn what each lady on the Strip is doing New Years Eve. To that end, the following ladies have been updated to include this information: Monte Carlo, Excalibur, Caesars Palace, Bellagio, Bally's, Flamingo Las Vegas, Imperial Palace, Harrah's, Las Vegas Hilton, and Luxor. Hopefully I will adding the rest tomorrow.
December 8, 1999 - I have been having trouble finding background information on some of the visionaries that made the Strip a reality. The background information of Warren "Doc" Bayley is now up thanks for Bayley's friend and associate Dick Taylor. I have also added two affiliates to my "On-Line Shopping section. For people looking for a home I've added Foreclosed Government Properties. I have also added Make Us An Offer which is a haggling site. I've been playing with it for the past week and great deals can be made.
December 6, 1999 - Dick Taylor has been giving me his memories of the Hacienda and I have updated the Hacienda's page. I have also updated Dick's memory page which can be accessed from the Hacienda's page. I have updated the Tropicana's and Stardust's page with new information and pictures I have obtained.
December 5, 1999 - This is the time for giving. Riviera is doing her part. I added a new section to my site. The Motels Section. This is for the little motels that were replaced with things other than resorts or hotels. So far I only have the Desert Spa and Sage and Sand but more will come. I have also added a Links section to my Webrings page. I've got three sites listed so far and they are must sees! Just to let you all know, this site was named as one of the sites in Yahoo!'s Picks of the Week (12-6-99). Pretty Cool!
December 4, 1999 - I have added Dick Taylor's memories to both the Frontier and Hacienda's page for your reading enjoyment. Because of all the wonderful e-mails I have received, I decided to create a Questionnaire to find out more information from the Strip fans. I would appreciate you filling it out. Don't worry, as is stated on the Questionnaire, your name and e-mail address won't be given to anyone. You can even omit that information if you want. This is for my use only.

November 27,1999 - I have added: Three Coins Motel which sits on the property that is now known as Bally's, Lone Palm and Rodeway Inn on the property which is now known as New York New York", and The Pyramids Motel on the property which is now known as Harrah's. I will be adding more throughout the night. I've also added some pictures to the new MGM Grand.
November 26, 1999 - Riviera is introducing a new chip in honor of one of its shows. I've been filling in all kinds of blanks and filling in pictures based on Howard's information and pictures. They are San Souci, Sahara, Tropicana, Desert Inn, El Rancho Vegas, Frontier, Sands, Stardust, Thunderbird and Flamingo
November 24, 1999 - The San Souci property has always been a problem in that something just wasn't making sense with the establishments. Howard answered that problem in documents that he sent me showing that for a time the Red Rooster and San Souci occupied the same property. The Red Rooster/Gracie Hayes Lodge would disappear and the San Souci was the evolving establishment.
November 21, 1999 - Three cheers for Flamingo. They have decided to help me in keeping the third lady of the Strip updated and offered any assistance they could provide to accurately show the evolution of this grand lady. Apparently, my requests didn't reach the correct departments, but fortunately, the appropriate people were notified of my site and they are happy to help in any way they can!

Apparently my requests didn't reach the right people, as I have been contacted by the Flamingo who apologized for not helping in this site. They have agreed to help me in any way possible and have given me information I requested. Please check out the third lady of the Strip. Thanks Flamingo for joining in keeping your history alive! The Riviera have completed their "Skyboxes". Howard has given me some additional pictures of the Hacienda. There was a wedding at Caesars. For you chip collectors, Rich Hodges is helping me with the chips that are on this site. We are going to replace the commemorative and fakes chips with scans of the real chips from his own collection. If he knows the years these chips were issued, I will put them in the tags. Just slide your cursor over the chips to see the dates.
November 17, 1999 - I found a great site for Las Vegas history books. Collectors beware! Stardust is ending their Enter the Night show in late December, 1999. Check out her page for the details! November 12, 1999 - Based on the information given to me by Howard, Wilbur Clark's page and the Desert Inn has been updated. In addition, I have included information on the lawsuits recently filed against the Desert Inn as well as their millennium collector's chips. John Braun has given me great information regarding the Silver Slipper. In addition, he also gave me information on the MGM Grand fire.
November 7, 1999 - The Riviera has found other areas to utilize their website in addition to the usual reservations and description. Based on information given to me by Howard, the Silver Slipper and Sands has been updated.
November 6, 1999 - I've been working on the Hotel Last Frontier all week and it is now big enough to become its own site. In order to make downloading easier, I have left the pictures on the page that are relevant for the evolvement of this wonderful second lady of the Strip. All other pictures are links to the names. Please click away to see the Hotel Frontier in its entirety and each picture will open in a new window so you won't lose your place. As we all know, the Silver City closed on October 31, 1999.
