I will repeat my statement in response to the e-mails I have received - I will NOT be doing a historical site on downtown Vegas unless I get paid for it. This site has cost me a fortune and I really don't have the money to create another site. This site began as a tribute to Aladdin and Landmark and quickly took on a life of its own. I don't regret it because I've got some incredible information and met many wonderful people, but I just don't have the money to create one for downtown - plain & simple.

I will however add current information on the resorts downtown if the resorts send me that information (after all in 6 months it will be history). For you visitors, please DO NOT send me pictures or information you have for downtown. It will not be added. This is just for the resorts downtown that wish to give me any news bulletins for their patrons. I'm not going to notify any of them but if they find this site, they can e-mail me for my address.

FOUR QUEENS CASINO HOTEL
AUGUST, 2000

In August of 2000, Four Queens announced the hiring of William Tong. Tong has been in the gaming business for over 20 years, holding executive positions at the Las Vegas Hilton, Bally's, Sands, and other Las Vegas Strip casinos. Tong has spent the past month preparing for the grand opening of two Pai Gow Tile games at the Four Queens.

Pai Gow is an ancient Chinese game that is popular in all Asian countries as well as at gaming venues worldwide. Pai Gow is a game of skill and luck played with 32 special domino-like tiles.

Four Queens is the only casino downtown with Pai Gow. Four Queens offers Pai Gow, with a $5 minimum and $500 maximum as the table limits. Our friendly Pai Gow table staff, and Tong himself, are always pleased to assist players in learning the game.

After consultation with experts on the Chinese calendar, Tong opened the game at 12:00 noon on the most auspicious day of August 23rd. Wishing all good luck and good fortune, Four Queens welcomes Mr. William Tong and Pai Gow to downtown Las Vegas.
